Just so you know, you cannot upgrade from 32-bit Windows XP to 64-bit Vista. Cross-platform upgrades are not possible. If you buy Vista, you can get the 64-bit version, but you'll have to do a clean install of Windows. It is presently not clear if you will be able to use an "upgrade" version to install Vista 64.
